Two Manipuris from Assam and Bangladesh are participating for the fourth Meetei Chanu-magnificence event started today at Sangeet Kala Sangam Hall, Khurai Lamlong, Imphal.
Out and out 50 ladies including Leiphrakpam Suchona Chanu from Bangladesh and Longjam Rabina Chanu from Assam tried out for the show.
L Suchona is a girl of social and social lobbyist L Ibungohal Shyamal and L (O) Kunjarani Leima of Bhanughas Tetai Gaon, Moulvibazar region, Bangladesh. She is an undergrad understudy at Leading University, Sylhet, Bangladesh.
Passing on to media people that it is her lady visit to the State, L Suchona said that she is partaking in the fourth Meetei Chanu remembering her dads love for his underlying foundations and culture. Her dad is working ‘indefatigably to advance Manipuri culture’ in Bangladesh, she said.
“Taking part in the event and my stay in Manipur will give me new bits of knowledge into the convention and culture of Meeteis. There are such a significant number of things to learn. I am incredibly glad to be here,” Suchona said.
“Winning or losing doesn’t make a difference. All I need is to find out about my way of life (Meetei), custom,” she included.
Longjam Rabina Chanu hails from Bhatigram, Jaribon in Assam. She is girl of Rajkumar and Muhini Leima.
Rabina, who is seeking after BCom at Cachar College, commended the coordinator Lainingthou Sanamahee Sana Pung (LSSP) for giving them the stage to speak to Manipuri ladies and ‘a chance to adapt new things’. She likewise communicated her ‘fantasy’ to see more Assam Manipuris taking an interest in the occasion.
It might be referenced that the fourth Meetei Chanu will be hung on October 20 at Manipur Trade and Expo Center, Lamboi Khongnangkhong, Imphal.
