SHUMUKH, is the world’s most expensive perfume, at 1.295 million dollars.
A large bottle of perfume, adorned containing thousands of diamonds and other precious gems and pearls, is standing on sale price of US$1.295 million.
It is released by the Ultra-luxury fragrance brand from the United Arab Emirates, The Spirit of Dubai Perfumes, and is believed to be the most expensive in the world.
Dubbed SHUMUKH (meaning “deserving the highest” in Arabic), the unisex perfume sits in a bottle adorned with 3,571 diamonds (totaling 38.55 carats) and other pieces of gold, silver, pearls, and topaz, and it can be customized with even further jewels, according to the company.
Physical Dimensions & Ingredients
The bottle of perfume, measuring 1.97 meters tall along with its pedestal, is currently on display at The Dubai Mall.
The bottle comes with remote control of gold and silver to operate the automated perfume spray, and to rotate or adjust the height of the pedestal.
The three-liter perfume is comprised of natural ingredients sourced from around the globe, with notes of amber, sandalwood, musk, rare pure Indian Agarwood, pure Turkish rose, patchouli Ylang-Ylang, and frankincense that are estimated to last on the skin for around 12 hours.
Research & Development
Asghar Adam Ali, chairman and master perfumer at Nabeel Perfumes Group of Companies, along with artisans from Switzerland, Italy, and France, spent 3 years and around 494 trials to formulate the perfume, said by The Spirit of Dubai.
SHUMUKH currently holds two Guinness World Records :
• The most diamonds set on a perfume bottle, and
• The tallest remote-controlled fragrance spray product.
